Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about starting, sharing, the vet link, Premium and your data.
Getting started
Do I need an account to use Keepie?
No. You can use everything on this phone without an account. Add one later for backup or sharing.
Is Keepie free?
Yes. Daily care, reminders, health records, backup and sync are free. Care Team is free for the first 7 days after your first invite. Premium adds the full Vet Pack, an ad-free app, all themes, more room for photos and documents, and adding people to Care Team after those 7 days. The store shows the price and any free period before you confirm.
Which pets can I add?
Dogs and cats, and other pets under Other, where you name the kind of animal yourself. You can add more than one pet and switch between them at the top of Today.
Care Team
How do I invite my family or sitter?
Open the pet, tap Care Team, then Invite someone. Choose a role and share the code. A code works once and expires after 7 days.
What can each role do?
Caregivers see routines, Today and the Calendar, and can mark care done. Viewers see the same but change nothing. Health records are for owners only.
Health and vet link
Does my vet need the app?
No. You show a QR or send a link, and your vet reads a one-page summary in the browser, with no app and no account. Creating the link needs a free account.
Can I stop sharing the link?
Yes. The summary stays open for 4 hours after you create the link, and notes can arrive for 72 hours. You can end it earlier in the app, or make a new link later.
Premium
What does Premium add?
The full Vet Pack, an ad-free app, every theme, more room and adding people to Care Team after the first 7 days. Daily care, reminders, health records, backup and sync stay free.
How do I cancel Premium?
In your store settings. On iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions. On Android: Play Store → Payments and subscriptions.
Privacy and data
Where is my pet’s data stored?
On your phone. If you sign in and turn on backup or Care Team, the data needed for that is also stored on our servers. The Privacy page lists where and who helps us run them.
Does Keepie replace my vet?
No. Keepie keeps your own records and shares them. Medical decisions stay with your veterinarian.
